My fitness journey has been a rocky one. I've struggled with my relationship with food ever since I could remember, and my activity wasn't much better. In middle school, I joined the basketball team which got me moving, but highlighted my lack of coordination. It helped me get some weight off, but didn't do much for my dislike of activity.
It wasn't until I started learning how to move (and love) my body through awareness and being on stage that I started my love for movement. While living in Chicago and working in a corporate setting, I discovered my love for group fitness classes. I took five per week and it was the best part of my day. I decided to leave my 9 to 5 and become a Group Fitness Instructor for the R.I.P.P.E.D format. I ended up teaching more and more formats, some in the very building in which I previously worked and took classes.
2020 arrived with plenty of challenges. I learned how to teach virtually, and decided to get into Personal Training. I am now a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. I love helping others discover and achieve their goals and gain confidence and love for themselves. Whether you want to get up off the couch on the first try or do push ups on your toes, I can help you reach your goals (and even have some fun doing so!)
